The incident occurred on June 23, after 7:00 p.m. Officers from the Legnica SPPP, while patrolling the streets of Lubin, noticed two men who began behaving very nervously at the sight of the uniformed officers. One of them was drinking alcohol, while the other tried to hide something in his sock. The police decided to check it.
As it turned out, the 23-year-old resident of Lubin was carrying marijuana. The man was detained and placed in police custody. His companion received a fine.
The previous day, a 20-year-old resident of Polkowice was taken into police custody; he will also be held responsible for possessing narcotic substances. (This suspect was also detained by officers from the Independent Police Prevention Subunit).
Both suspects could face up to three years in prison.
