The incident occurred on Sunday, June 17, at around 6:30 a.m., in the Centrum housing estate in Lubin. Police officers from the Prevention Department, patrolling the city streets, noticed a man who was clearly under the influence of alcohol and bothering passers-by.

The sight of the police car did not calm him down at all; on the contrary, the aggressor began shouting even louder and provoking the police officers, insulting them.

During the intervention, the drunk troublemaker kicked a policewoman and hurled insults at her partner.

The 23-year-old resident of Polkowice County was detained. He was charged with violating the bodily integrity of a police officer, resulting in minor bodily harm, and insulting a police officer. The man confessed.

The 23-year-old has already been placed under police supervision. He could now face up to three years in prison.
