Officers from the Criminal Department of the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters detained a 22-year-old man suspected of breaking into a garage and recovered aluminum wheels. The burglar had sold them at a non-ferrous metal recycling facility.
Interestingly, in order to transport the heavy wheels, the thief enlisted the help of a friend. He told him that he was... cleaning out a garage and wanted to get rid of some unnecessary items.
The 22-year-old has already been charged with burglary. The recovered property will be returned to its owner by the officers.
The detained man has committed similar offenses in the past. He could now face up to 10 years in prison.
