The incident occurred on Tuesday, June 5. The 57-year-old man from Bolesławiec, having noticed the fallen sign, loaded it onto a cart and left. He wanted to sell the loot at a scrap-metal collection point. (The sign belonged to workers who were laying the road surface at the time.)
The thief was detained on Ogrodowa Street in Bolesławiec. Officers recovered the stolen property. The perpetrator was fined PLN 400.
