According to the findings of the police officers handling the case, the vehicles stolen from Legnica in May were located on private properties in three provinces: Lower Silesian, Lesser Poland and Lubusz.

The officers therefore went to one of the towns in Nowy Targ County (Lesser Poland Voivodeship), where, according to their earlier findings, the first of the stolen Mercedes cars was located. Upon arrival, the police discovered and secured the car parked in front of a house. Two men, aged 22 and 28, were detained in connection with the case.

Then, as a result of further operations, this time in Nowa Sól County (Lubusz Voivodeship), the police secured another Mercedes. As the officers approached the building, they noticed two men who, on seeing the uniformed officers, jumped out of a window and attempted to flee. However, they were quickly apprehended by the Legnica officers.

During a search of the property, the police secured equipment used to steal vehicles. (The detainees were men aged 31 and 34.)

Later that same day, the officers went to a private property in Legnica County. There, they found and recovered the last stolen Mercedes and detained a 21-year-old fence from Lubin County.

The uniformed officers then apprehended another accomplice of those detained earlier in Lesser Poland—a 27-year-old fence.

All the suspects were taken into police custody. The four fences face up to 5 years in prison. The two burglars could receive sentences of up to 10 years. The latter have already been remanded in custody by the court for three months.
