The incident occurred at the end of February near Bolesławiec. The young woman from Kraków, who was travelling home from Gorzów, got into a BlaBlaCar car carrying three unknown men. During the journey, they offered her some beer.

At one point, the resident of the Małopolska capital felt unwell. She therefore got out of the car at one of the petrol stations in Bolesławiec municipality. She asked the station staff to notify the emergency services. She thought that her fellow travellers had put something in her beer.

A police patrol and an emergency medical team arrived at the scene. The young woman’s blood was taken for testing. As it turned out, the test showed no presence of any psychoactive substance. The case will be dismissed.

There seems to be only one moral to this story: if we are not sure of our fellow travellers’ intentions, we should not accept their beer...
