On Saturday, a reader, a resident of the estate on Śluzowa Street, called us. He noticed that a black van had appeared on Żołnierzy Wyklętych Street, whose driver threw several bags of waste into the rubbish containers. Then he drove away.

“In broad daylight, he dumped a huge amount of rubbish on us; he filled the entire bin with it,” the reader complains. “I can’t stand people like that—then we have to pay for it.”

Update

After the article was published on our forum, the owner of the van in question posted a comment. As it turned out, he lives on... Pileckiego Street, that is, on the same estate. The driver wrote:

Dear reader, I appreciate your civic engagement. However, next time, before reporting such a matter to the newspaper, please think it through more carefully. Please go over to those containers and read what is written on them. They have been placed there for residents of Pileckiego Street and the adjacent streets. A road is being built on Pileckiego Street, and the rubbish trucks cannot reach us. I drove there so I would not have to carry five bags of sorted waste and a 120-litre bin of mixed waste 300 metres.

Regards,
Bartek from Pileckiego Street.
