Last night, burglars struck again in Nowogrodziec gmina. And once again in Gierałtów! The police—citing operational activities—are not providing any information on the matter. Does this mean that a gang of serial thieves is operating in this gmina?
As we have managed to establish, several incidents of this type did indeed occur in Nowogrodziec gmina in the spring. However, the criminals’ modus operandi was not consistent, so it cannot be unequivocally stated that the same person or persons were responsible. What is more, the items targeted by the burglars also differed. This likewise contradicts the theory that master thieves had singled out one of the gminas in our county.
Officers from the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters are conducting operational activities in Nowogrodziec gmina, as a result of which several suspects have already been detained, including three men who, unable to start a stolen car, towed it away, as well as a resident of Zgorzelec County who was wanted by the German justice system.
Unfortunately, burglars are also eagerly taking advantage of the fact that the weather has become warmer and people are sleeping with their windows open or slightly ajar. This makes the thieves’ “work” easier.
