Recently, information beginning with the words “Drunk Ukrainian...” has appeared quite frequently in the media—including in our coverage. The issue has also been noticed by the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław. The traffic police from the Provincial Police Headquarters, together with Agencja Informacyjna Media Flow Ukraina, have created preventive spots aimed at Ukrainian citizens concerning the road traffic regulations in force in Poland.
During staged road situations and vehicle checks, police officers explain and remind viewers of the basic rules of the road:
- how to behave during a roadside inspection
- which documents must be carried while driving
- what penalties may result from violating regulations concerning, for example, speeding, making a U-turn in a prohibited place, or driving while intoxicated.
The purpose of these preventive spots is to show various situations that may occur on the roads in Poland and, consequently, to explain and discuss the regulations and procedures in force in the territory of the Republic of Poland.
Details are available on the Wrocław Provincial Police Headquarters website.
