Police detained a 48-year-old resident of Bolesławiec who, while drunk, demolished a passenger car using a machete. (The vehicle owner estimated the damage at PLN 1,500.) In addition, the detained man was charged with making criminal threats against a woman with whom he had previously been involved.
After searching the residential premises occupied by the 48-year-old, officers secured the tools the vandal had used to commit the crime.
The prosecutor’s office placed the suspect under police supervision. The aggressor is also prohibited from approaching or contacting the injured party.
The vandal could now face up to five years in prison.
