On Thursday, April 19, at around 6:00 p.m., the duty officer of the Jelenia Góra Municipal Guard received a report about a bloodied man lying in Żiżka Park, at the intersection of Wolności and Lipowa streets.
Rescue officers immediately went to the scene. In the park, they found a heavily bleeding and unconscious man. The officers stopped the bleeding and began resuscitation.
The emergency medical team that had been called arrived at the scene shortly afterward. Municipal Guard officers and the emergency medical team jointly carried out rescue efforts.
Initial findings indicated that the man had been stabbed several times with a sharp object. Unfortunately, despite the rescue operation lasting several dozen minutes, the injured man died.
