Officers from the Criminal Department of the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters, acting on the basis of operational findings, arrested the perpetrator of several crimes committed in the city. The detainee is a 26-year-old resident of the City of Ceramics. It was established that between 16 March and 6 April, he committed 2 thefts and 4 burglaries.
Among other things, the suspect stole a bicycle worth PLN 11,500, which a resident of Trzebnica County had brought to Bolesławiec for a competition. (The police officers’ immediate action produced the desired result: the bicycle was recovered very quickly and the competitor was able to take part in the race).
For the second offence, the suspect had a 25-year-old accomplice. Together, they stole 4 alloy wheels with tyres worth PLN 5,000. (The officers recovered the stolen property. The accomplice has already been charged).
Moreover, the older of the two thieves heard four more charges. These concern break-ins at construction containers and warehouses, from which the burglar stole, among other things, a welding machine, pipes, a level and cables. Steps are under way to recover the stolen property).
The 26-year-old, who is well known to the police because he already has property offences on his record, now faces up to 10 years in prison.
