This is an additional tool supporting police officers in their daily work. We are referring to the National Security Threats Map app, through which residents of Bolesławiec County have been able to report various threats for a year and a half. “Since the launch of the National Security Threats Map, we have received a total of 1,430 reports, as many as 989 of which concerned road traffic,” officers say.

The most frequently reported issues are:

  • improper parking – 420 threats (29.3% of the total)
  • speeding – 269 threats (15.6%)
  • inadequate road infrastructure – 214 threats (14.9%)
  • illegal dumping sites – 135 threats (9.4%).

The National Security Threats Map is also available as a phone app. By downloading the free Geoportal Mobile app, users will find a tab providing access to the National Security Threats Map. With this solution, anyone with a smartphone and internet access can always have the National Security Threats Map at hand. Additionally, when marking a threat on the map, users can enter a brief description and attach photos.

Using the map is very simple. Through the interactive website or app, users can provide information about threats occurring in the region and beyond. Every report is checked by police officers. The signals received are verified by the Lower Silesian police. If a threat is confirmed, officers take steps to eliminate it.

Police: “We invite you to use the National Security Threats Map. However, please remember that this app is not intended for reporting the need for urgent police intervention. In such cases, use the emergency numbers 997 or 112.”
