Officers from the Municipal Police Headquarters, patrolling Zielona Street in Legnica, stopped the driver of a passenger Opel for a roadside check. He was behaving very nervously. It soon turned out that the 20-year-old was driving under the influence of drugs from the amphetamine, cocaine and benzodiazepine groups.

Next, police officers stopped a Mercedes driver on Wojska Polskiego Street, after he sharply accelerated upon seeing the police car. It soon became clear what had caused the 42-year-old to behave that way. A drug test detected amphetamine/methamphetamine in his system.

Meanwhile, during a check on Anielewicza Street, it was established that the 29-year-old Opel driver had got behind the wheel under the influence of amphetamine, THC, marijuana and hashish.

All the drivers were taken to hospital, where blood samples were collected for further testing. They will now answer in court for their irresponsible driving.

All three could face up to two years in prison and a driving ban of up to 15 years.
