The senior officers’ corps of the 10th Armored Cavalry Brigade was joined by:

  • Captain Marcin Wdowiak from the Leopard Training Center
  • Captain Damian Ostapiak from the self-propelled artillery squadron.

The management staff of the 10th Armored Cavalry Brigade, along with representatives of the Leopard Training Center and the self-propelled artillery squadron, came to the brigade’s Hall of Tradition.

After the order appointing the officers to their new posts was read, the deputy commander of the armored brigade, Colonel Zbigniew Śliżewski, spoke:

For two experienced officers, today is a very solemn day. You are leaving the junior officers’ corps behind and joining the senior officers’ corps. This entails a very important change in your lives, as you are also changing your official posts. This is the beginning of a new path for you—a path that will not always be easy and will often be winding and difficult.

The changes to your official posts will involve greater responsibility and numerous challenges. You have often performed duties in the posts you will now take over, so what awaits you is not a surprise. It is nevertheless a different task, involving a broader scope of responsibility.

You are beginning another very important stage in an officer’s service. You will work toward further successes, which I sincerely wish you on my own behalf and on behalf of the commander of the 10th Armored Cavalry Brigade.

Colonel Zbigniew Śliżewski congratulated the officers and presented them with their appointment certificates, as well as major’s shoulder boards, which they will proudly wear from now on.

“I realize that I face major challenges, which I will have to meet. I say with full awareness that I will do everything to ensure that the level of training at the Leopard Training Center does not change. My predecessors put a great deal of heart into ensuring that the center’s current appearance and operation were what they are, and therefore I face a very difficult task. I believe that, with the support of my superiors and subordinates, I will achieve the intended goals,” said Captain Marcin Wdowiak.

“I would like to thank my superiors for the trust they have placed in me. I am aware of the challenges ahead of me. I will do everything to perform the tasks entrusted to me to the highest possible standard,” added Captain Damian Ostapiak.
