The incident occurred on Monday, after 12:00, on a road in Łaziska. Two passenger cars collided.

The Ford driver, a resident of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, failed to yield the right of way to a woman driving a Renault Laguna when exiting a minor road. After the collision, the Ford stopped at the intersection, while the Renault broke through a fence and left the road.

The man driving the Ford explained that the “yield” sign had been turned around. The driver did not notice it and treated the intersection in Łaziska as an equal-priority intersection.

Emergency services took two people to hospital: the Renault’s driver and passenger. Fortunately, no one suffered anything more serious. Because the sign had been turned around, the case will end up in court.

As we read on the website of the Bolesławiec County Headquarters of the State Fire Service:

Two crews from JRG Bolesławiec and one crew from OSP Warta Bolesławiecka were dispatched. At the scene, firefighters found that two passenger cars had collided—one had crashed through a property fence, while the other remained on the road. Five people were involved in the incident. All those injured were immediately given assistance and then handed over to the medical rescue team. At the same time, firefighters disconnected the batteries in the damaged vehicles and limited leaks of operating fluids.
