Lubin criminal investigators established that in February, the owner of a garden hut located in one of the allotment gardens gave its keys to an acquaintance. He allowed him to spend time there and even stay overnight.
During that time, the 22-year-old was not idle. First, he broke into and robbed a neighboring hut twice. (His haul included consumer electronics and power tools, which the thief sold to random people.) Then—in March—the perpetrator, drunk, robbed his acquaintance’s hut and vandalized it.
The 22-year-old was arrested. What is more, officers also apprehended his 25-year-old girlfriend, who was wanted because she has a prison sentence to serve.
The brazen thief now faces up to 10 years in prison.
