Police officers from Bolesławiec County received a report about the disappearance of an 88-year-old man who had left the facility without his caregivers’ knowledge. The incident occurred in the Osiecznica municipality. In addition to the police, volunteer firefighters from Osiecznica, Parowa and Ławszowa joined the operation.
The community police officer from Osiecznica contacted various people and, based on the information gathered, identified the direction in which the 88-year-old might have gone.
At around 6:00 p.m., shortly before nightfall, the community police officer and the commander from Nowogrodziec found the missing man in the forest. He had gone as far as 8 km from the place where he currently resides. Fortunately, he was in good condition.
The 88-year-old was handed over to his caregivers, who arranged medical care for him as a precaution.
