The District Prosecutor’s Office in Jelenia Góra is supervising an investigation conducted by the Central Anticorruption Bureau into the former deputy mayor of the City and Municipality of Bogatynia, Dominik M., who is suspected of failing to perform his official duties by inadequately supervising a department of the subordinate office responsible for carrying out investments, as well as a company supervising, on behalf of the Municipality, the contractor for municipal investments involving the reconstruction of the combined sewerage network and street surfaces in Porajów.
On Thursday, 22 March, CBA officers, acting on the instructions of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Jelenia Góra, arrested Dominik M., the construction works contractor, Eugeniusz F., and the construction manager, Rafał R.
M. was charged with failing to perform his official duties (Article 231 § 1 of the Penal Code). F. was charged with certifying false information, forging documents and causing the Municipality of Bogatynia to dispose of property to its detriment, in an amount of no less than PLN 505,000. R. is suspected of certifying false information and forging documents.
All three were brought to the prosecutor’s office in Jelenia Góra. Procedural activities are ongoing. The former deputy mayor could face up to three years in prison.
