The incident occurred on Żeromskiego Street in Boguszów-Gorce. Officers from the Traffic Division of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Wałbrzych were alerted and, upon arriving at the scene, quickly established that the Renault driver had deliberately driven into a man walking on the pavement. Fortunately, the 26-year-old victim suffered minor injuries; nevertheless, doctors decided to keep him in hospital for observation.
The officers established that the 31-year-old resident of Boguszów-Gorce had previously threatened the 26-year-old via SMS with taking his life. The reason? Jealousy.
The person responsible for the collision stated that he had only wanted to scare the man, not hit him. The 31-year-old is under police supervision and is prohibited from approaching the victim. He could face up to three years in prison.
