The incident occurred on Wednesday, 21 March, on the road between Iwiny and Warta Bolesławiecka (Warta Bolesławiecka municipality). The driver of an Audi, who was travelling from Iwiny towards Warta, lost control of the vehicle, left the road and hit a tree. The car bounced off the tree and landed in a field.
A 24-year-old resident of Warta municipality died at the scene. The police and prosecutor’s office are investigating the causes of the tragedy.
Preliminary findings indicate that the 24-year-old was driving too fast. The road is blocked, and disruptions on this section may last for several hours.
