On 14 March in Golnice, officers from the Bolesławiec traffic police stopped a vehicle driven by a 38-year-old resident of Bolesławiec for inspection. When the officers began checking the car’s technical condition, the driver admitted that he did not have a driving licence. (This was confirmed.)
Four hours later, another patrol from the Traffic Division stopped a passenger vehicle for inspection in Milików. When the police officers wanted to establish the stopped driver’s identity, he gave someone else’s details.
It soon emerged that the driver was a 48-year-old resident of Nowogrodziec municipality whose driving privileges... had been revoked since 2008.
Both men now face up to two years in prison.
