A woman from Bolesławiec informed us that trees growing beside her terraced house make her apartment very dark. The most troublesome is the linden tree growing right beneath her window. In summer, the Reader has to cook dinner with the light on—the afternoons are that dark. What is more, if the trees in question disappeared, her son, who suffers from allergies, would certainly feel better.
The woman told us that she has been raising the matter with Bolesławiec officials for a year now. So far, without success.
Since Dolne Młyny Street is a county road, we asked the head of ZDP for comment. Paweł Bednarski said: “The tree crown can only be thinned, which we will carry out by spring.”
