The problem was reported to our editorial office by a reader. Due to the strong winds that have recently been affecting the region, the reader drew attention to the condition of the willow growing by the entrance to the car park.

This is a place visited by many people every day. Cars pass near the tree, while drivers and pedestrians use the car park. The possible breaking of a large branch could therefore pose a threat both to people and to parked vehicles.

The willow has already broken at this spot. There are now concerns that further branches could break off, particularly during stronger gusts of wind.

We informed the Bolesławiec Municipal Police about the matter. The officers announced that they would intervene. According to the information we received, the officers arrived at the scene. The area around the tree was temporarily secured with tape.

According to our unofficial information, a procedure concerning further action regarding the tree is under way. It could end with the tree being felled, but the final decision is still pending.

Until then, we urge people using the car park to exercise particular caution. Do not approach the secured area or cross the tape that has been put up. In strong winds, it is best to avoid the tree and not stop in its immediate vicinity.
