On Friday, March 2, at the Bolesławiec City Hall, Marshal Cezary Przybylski and Władysław Bakalarz, president of the Municipal Utilities Management Company, signed an agreement to co-finance the project “Construction of the infrastructure necessary to ensure comprehensive municipal waste management at the Municipal Waste Neutralisation Plant in Trzebień”.

– This is an important project to be carried out by our MZGK company, because waste management is one of the main tasks of local government. The value of this project is more than PLN 3,700,000, while the funding amounts to more than PLN 1,900,000 – says Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman.

The project “Construction of the infrastructure necessary to ensure comprehensive municipal waste management at the Municipal Waste Neutralisation Plant in Trzebień” has received funding from European funds under the Regional Operational Programme for the Lower Silesian Voivodeship 2014–2020. – As part of the project, we have planned the construction of bays and the purchase of a bulky-waste shredder, a telescopic loader, a hook-lift container truck and containers with a capacity of 36 cubic metres – says MZGK president Władysław Bakalarz.

The amount of bulky waste collected increases every year. In 2015, it amounted to 330 tonnes; the following year, 495 tonnes; and last year, 600 tonnes of bulky waste were delivered to the Municipal Waste Neutralisation Plant in Trzebień.
