The incident took place on February 26, at around 2:20 p.m. A 60-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra reported to district officer junior aspirant Jarosław Rutka of Police Station I in Jelenia Góra.
The police officer detected a distinct smell of alcohol coming from the woman. Since he saw that she had arrived at the station in her own car, he decided to test her for alcohol in her system. The test showed more than 1 per mille.
The woman admitted that she had got behind the wheel while drunk. The district officer confiscated her driving licence.
The 60-year-old now faces up to two years in prison.
