The incident took place on Wednesday, 21 February. In Zebrzydowa (the municipality of Nowogrodziec), a collision occurred involving a new unmarked patrol car of the Bolesławiec police. The 33-year-old van driver from the municipality of Nowogrodziec, who had been driving too fast, entered the premises of the company where he works. The officers in the BMW switched on the blue light and followed him. At one point, the 33-year-old began reversing without making sure there was nothing behind him and hit the patrol car.
Fortunately, no one was hurt, but the BMW’s bodywork needs repair. The driver of the Renault Master was given a PLN 100 fine.
It seems that US Army soldiers have infected our police with their road bad luck. In January, we reported that tank crews from Świętoszów had hit a brand-new police patrol car, which the police officers from the station in Warta Bolesławiecka had received from the head of that municipality.
