Naturally, the students asked many questions about everyday duties. As might be expected, topics related to rescue operations were of particular interest: extinguishing fires and taking part in eliminating local hazards. We placed particular emphasis on responsibility, especially when undertaking challenges related to saving health and lives. We discussed the hazards we encounter during everyday service while responding to incidents in various facilities and under various circumstances.
The meeting with the students also covered safety issues discussed as part of the “Safety Inspires Me All Year Round” program. The students were shown the hazards they may encounter in winter conditions, including at bodies of water.
