Jelenia Góra traffic police received a report that drivers were not complying with the speed limit on Kasprowicza Street. At around 3:10 p.m., officers spotted a Mitsubishi Colt there. In a place where the speed limit is 50 km/h, the driver was travelling 19 km/h faster. He was also driving without wearing a seat belt.

The officers stopped the vehicle for inspection. The driver turned out to be a 25-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra. He was highly agitated. After a moment, he admitted that he had taken amphetamines before getting behind the wheel. His blood was therefore collected for testing.

Moreover, it emerged that the 25-year-old had neither a driving licence nor any documents, while the car itself had neither a valid technical inspection nor insurance.

The 25-year-old could now face up to two years in prison.
