The tragedy occurred on Thursday, February 8, before 6:00 a.m., in Lubin. The duty officer received a report that a bus had hit a man at a marked pedestrian crossing. The police officer immediately sent officers from the prevention department to the scene.
When the officers arrived at the scene, they found a group of around a dozen bystanders. Yet none of the witnesses to the tragedy even tried to help the 19-year-old man.
The young man from Podkarpackie Voivodeship died as a result of his injuries. “Let us not be afraid to help! The first seconds are the most precious!” the police appeal.
The police and the prosecutor’s office are investigating the causes of the accident.
