The Municipality of Bolesławiec has also planned the project “Modernization of digital laboratories in 9 schools in Bolesławiec to improve the quality of education” במסגרת the Regional Operational Programme 7.1.1. Project value: PLN 2,154,996; own contribution: PLN 323,250. Implementation period: 2017–2018.

The aim of the project is to improve teaching conditions in 9 Bolesławiec schools in the fields of digital and mathematical-natural sciences. The project provides for equipping 14 laboratories with digital equipment and complete educational software (these will be laboratories for children in grades I–III, IV–VI and lower-secondary schools). In addition, a set of robots for learning programming will be purchased for one of the institutions.

Bolesławiec educational institutions actively participate in preparing and implementing a number of projects. “Creative city, creative school, 21st-century students” was planned by Primary School No. 2 under the Regional Operational Programme 10.2.1. Project value: PLN 262,066; own contribution: PLN 13,130. Implementation period: 2017–2019. The aim of the project is to provide additional equipment for subject laboratories and conduct extracurricular activities for children from Primary School No. 2.

“United through cultural and natural diversity” was planned by Primary School No. 1 under the Erasmus+ Strategic Partnerships programme. Project value: PLN 106,426; own contribution: PLN 0. Implementation period: 2015–2017. Partners: Bolesławiec, Zagreb (Croatia), Sincel (Romania), Ostrava and Navsi (Czech Republic), and Humenne (Slovakia).

The aim of the project is to learn about the cultural heritage of the regions. The research covered wooden architecture; ceramics and household items made of wood; folk costumes; music; dance; dialect/language; legends and tales.

“Art therapy as the key to successful integration” under the Interreg V-A Czech Republic–Poland 2014–2020 programme – a project of Municipal Public Kindergarten No. 7. Project value: PLN 80,100; own contribution: PLN 8,010. Implementation period: 2016–2017. Partners: Laznie Libwerda and Nove Mesto pod Smrkem.

The aim of the project is to expand cooperation with Czech partners through new activities based on integrating children with developmental deficits with healthy children and involving Polish and Czech parents in the cooperation. The project activities were based on the knowledge and skills acquired during methodological workshops.

“Polish and Czech preschoolers take care of their planet” under the Interreg V-A Czech Republic–Poland 2014–2020 programme – a project of Municipal Public Kindergarten No. 6 and Municipal Public Kindergarten No. 3. Project value: PLN 63,000; own contribution: PLN 6,300. Implementation period: 2016–2017. Partners: Doksy and Jablonne v Podjestedi. The aim of the project is to conduct environmental activities with children from kindergartens in Jablonne, Doksy and Bolesławiec (MPP No. 3 and MPP No. 6). The project also included teacher training and a trip to IQlandia in Liberec.

“Little researcher and explorer” under the Interreg V-A Czech Republic–Poland 2014–2020 programme – a project of Municipal Public Kindergarten No. 2. Project value: PLN 68,422; own contribution: PLN 6,842. Implementation period: 2016–2017. The partner is Liberec. The aim of the project is to develop in children respect for their cultural identity, language and the values of the country in which they live, as well as for other cultures. The project also included teacher training and a trip to IQlandia in Liberec.

“Preschool journeys to the land of nature” under the Interreg V-A Czech Republic–Poland 2014–2020 programme, implemented by Municipal Public Kindergarten No. 5. Project value: PLN 67,667; own contribution: PLN 6,767. Implementation period: 2016–2017. The partner is Jablonne v Podjestedi. Project objective: developing pro-environmental attitudes among children through educational activities, a trip to Wrzosowa Kraina and the organization of an Eco-Festival.

“Cross-border preschoolers promote movement and healthy tastes” under the Interreg V-A Czech Republic–Poland 2014–2020 programme. Implementer: Municipal Public Kindergarten No. 4. Project value: PLN 74,398; own contribution: PLN 7,440. Implementation period: 2016–2017. Project partner: Liberec. Project objective: promoting healthy eating among children, learning about regional cuisines, and learning games, methods and forms of work that promote physical activity. The project also included teacher training and a trip to IQlandia in Liberec.

“And this is interesting… A subjective guide to the Nysa Euroregion” under the Interreg V-A Czech Republic–Poland 2014–2020 programme. Implementer: Primary School No. 2. Project value: PLN 48,293; own contribution: PLN 4,829. Implementation period: 2017; partner: Hrádek nad Nisou.

Project objective: deepening awareness of one’s cultural identity and cultural roots, developing intercultural education, and establishing contact with young people who have similar passions and interests. The final result was a guide created by young people, in print and online, presenting the most interesting places in the Nysa Euroregion.

“Fitness is fundamental, and sport is fun too” under the Interreg V-A Czech Republic–Poland 2014–2020 programme. Implementer: Primary School No. 1. Project value: PLN 85,810; own contribution: PLN 8,581. Partner – Jablonne v Podjestedi. Implementation period: 2017–2018. Project objective: promoting new forms of sports and recreational activities among children and young people (bubble football, football, kin-ball). The project also included trips to the region’s largest cities, Prague and Wrocław.

“Shared mountains – shared passions” under the Interreg V-A Czech Republic–Poland 2014–2020 programme. Implementer: Primary School No. 4. Project value: PLN 53,148; own contribution: PLN 5,315. Implementation period: 2017–2018. Partner – Liberec. Project objective: increasing children’s and teachers’ knowledge and skills regarding active and safe recreation in the mountains, nature conservation and ecology, and providing first aid.

“We’ve got it! We are polishing cross-border television” under the Polish-Ukrainian Council for Youth Exchange programme. Implementer: Primary School No. 2. Project value: PLN 41,578; own contribution: PLN 0. Implementation period: 2017. The partner is the Gymnasium in Lutsk (Ukraine). Project objective: a trip by young people from Bolesławiec to Lutsk (Ukraine) to create a school television station together. This is a continuation of a project carried out in 2016, when young people from Ukraine visited Bolesławiec.
