Museum professionals, as part of the projects being carried out, organize workshops and thematic exhibitions and implement educational programs. The Museum of Ceramics project “Recalling Forgotten Monuments of History” is being carried out במסגרת the Interreg V-A Czech Republic–Poland 2014–2020 program. Project value: PLN 139,874; own contribution: PLN 13,987. Implementation period: 2016–2017. Partner: Hradek nad Nisou.

The project’s task was for both partners to jointly develop and implement a program for revitalizing movable monuments: monuments, outdoor sculptures, small architecture, roadside shrines, epitaphs and tombstones. On the Polish side, the activities included conserving some of the sculptures in the lapidarium next to the Museum of Ceramics building on Mickiewicza Street in Bolesławiec, publishing a brochure promoting the group of sculptures in the lapidarium, and organizing a mini-conference.

“Cooperation between Museums for the Development of Museum Education in the Polish-Czech Border Area” במסגרת the Interreg V-A Czech Republic–Poland 2014–2020 program. Implemented by the Museum of Ceramics. Project value: PLN 800,000; own contribution: PLN 120,000. Implementation period: 2017–2019. Partner: Karkonoskie Museum in Vrchlabi.

The project aims to develop museum education in the region together with the Czech partner. The activities on the Polish side include purchasing multimedia equipment for the permanent exhibition of the City History Department, preparing software for the multimedia displays, creating a new museum website, creating a smartphone application for guided tours of the museum (an audio guide), and jointly preparing exhibitions with educational programs.

“Hradek n/N. and Bolesławiec on the Trail of Traditional Crafts” במסגרת the Interreg V-A Czech Republic–Poland 2014–2020 program. Implemented by the Museum of Ceramics. Project value: PLN 146,913; own contribution: PLN 14,691. Implementation period: 2017–2018. Partner: Hradek nad Nisou.

The project aims to include Hradek n. Nisou in the cross-border “VIA FABRILIS” traditional crafts trail and to carry out activities on both sides of the border promoting issues related to this subject. On the Polish side, visitors will be given access to a thematic exhibition devoted to the region’s stone-carving traditions, based on conserved sculptures from the museum’s lapidarium, and maps featuring a modernized version of the trail will be published. On the Czech side, an exhibition of Bolesławiec ceramics will be presented in the renovated traditional crafts center. Both partners will also organize workshops on traditional crafts.

“Gateway to the World of Collections” (recommended for funding by the Monitoring Committee, pending the signing of an agreement), במסגרת the Interreg V-A Czech Republic–Poland 2014–2020 program. Implemented by the Museum of Ceramics. Project value: PLN 538,000; own contribution: PLN 80,700. Implementation period: 2018–2020. Partner: Muzeum Českého ráje v Turnově.

The project will involve cross-border cooperation in digitizing museum collections and exchanging information on their conservation, as well as disseminating knowledge about the collections of the region’s museums through a specially created portal, publications and exhibitions. On the Polish side, a studio for 3D digitization of exhibits will be organized and equipped, an international information portal on museum collections will be launched, and publications and exhibitions will be produced and organized.

“Learning as an Adventure” (following a positive formal and substantive assessment, pending a recommendation from the Monitoring Committee) במסגרת the Interreg V-A Poland–Saxony 2014–2020 program. Implemented by the Museum of Ceramics. Project value: PLN 711,800; own contribution: PLN 106,770. Implementation period: 2018–2021. Partners: Museum der Westlausitz Kamenz and Muzeum Łużyckie w Zgorzelcu.

The project’s objectives are to develop and implement interdisciplinary cross-border educational programs in the natural, technical and exact sciences by Polish and German museums, using their exhibitions and collections, as well as to improve cross-border cooperation between educational institutions and cultural institutions. The programs developed by the Museum of Ceramics will focus on promoting the natural sciences through museum exhibits and spreading knowledge about traditional ceramic and metal technologies through the lens of archaeological research.

The educational activities will be addressed to children and young people of all age groups in the region, as well as older people who value acquiring knowledge. In addition to educational and workshop activities supported by educational materials, the “Archaeology of the Bolesławiec Region” and “In the Old Pharmacy” exhibitions in the City History Department will be modernized to enhance their educational role and interactivity.

“Treasures of the Past Accessible to Everyone” (application submission planned for the first quarter of 2018) במסגרת the Interreg V-A Poland–Saxony 2014–2020 program. Implemented by the Museum of Ceramics. Project value: PLN 139,000; own contribution: PLN 20,850. Implementation period: 2018–2019. Partner: Schlesisch-Oberlausitzer Museumsverbund GgmbH. The project will disseminate knowledge on both sides of the border about the exhibition offer and collections of the Bolesławiec museum using modern media technologies (educational films featuring 3D presentations of the collections).

“Ceramics: Documenting and disposing, educating and encouraging, experiencing and exploiting (CerDee)” במסגרת the Interreg V-B Central Europe 2014–2020 program. Implemented by the Museum of Ceramics. Project value: PLN 400,000; own contribution: PLN 60,000. Implementation period: 2018–2021. Partners: Staatliches Museum für Porzellan Porzellanikon in Selb, Museum of Ceramic Faenza, Muzeum Narodowe Słowenii w Ljubljanie, Bayern Design Muenchen, New Design University in St. Pölten, Muzeum Porcelany w Miśni, Krajský úřad Karlove Vary, Stowarzyszenie Gmin Ceramicznych Rzeczypospolitej.

The project aims to implement joint international promotion techniques for traditional and contemporary ceramics as a tourism product. This will take place, among other ways, by providing access to digitized research, archival and scientific materials related to ceramics; organizing “ceramics laboratories”—workshops for tourists who want to learn the secrets of this field in a practical way; carrying out educational activities; implementing measures to promote ceramics as a tourism product; and publishing materials and conducting promotion on a European scale.

“From Bolesławiec Clay” במסגרת the Program for the Care of the Polish Diaspora and Poles Abroad, operated by the Senate of the Republic of Poland. Implemented by the Museum of Ceramics. Project value: PLN 83,400; own contribution: PLN 16,680. Implementation year: 2018. Partners: Stowarzyszenie Gmin Ceramicznych Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej, Włosko-Polskie Stowarzyszenie Miasta i Prowincji Salerno, Związek Polaków w Mediolanie.

The project aims to prepare and present an exhibition in Milan showcasing the latest designs in Bolesławiec ceramics, accompanied by workshops on clay modeling and design based on traditional Polish decorations and ornaments.

The project aims to create an international cooperation platform for organizations and entities associated with various aspects of ceramics, serving as a tool for exchanging information and experience, developing international industry cooperation, and promoting creators, events and industry projects internationally. It will be implemented through conferences, workshops for broad audiences, international symposia, festivals, outdoor events and exhibitions, as well as publications and promotion on a European scale.
