The incidents allegedly took place on January 18–19 at Weber-Hydraulika in Wykroty (Nowogrodziec gmina). “On Thursday, information spread that the area manager had brought a gun onto the company premises and shown it to one person,” Krzysztof Włoczewski, deputy head of the workplace NSZZ “Solidarity”, tells istotne.pl Krzysztof Włoczewski. “On Friday, the manager approached me and said, ‘I’ll shoot you all,’ which my colleague also heard.”

K. Włoczewski and Robert Kaniuk, head of Solidarity at Weber-Hydraulika, notified the Zgorzelec police about the incident. The police carried out some procedures as early as Sunday, including questioning witnesses. However, since the Weber-Hydraulika facility is located in Bolesławiec County, the case was transferred to officers from Bolesławiec. (It is currently being handled by officers from Nowogrodziec.)

Neither Krzysztof nor Robert saw the area manager’s alleged weapon with their own eyes. Nevertheless, they say it is no secret that the latter does not like union members.

“It is difficult to understand that someone who behaves this way is present on the company premises,” adds the deputy head of Solidarity. He points out that when one of Weber-Hydraulika’s employees brought pepper spray onto the premises, he promptly lost his job.

As we have established, the Nowogrodziec police are currently conducting proceedings related to criminal threats. We will return to the case.
