Winter has not caught Legnica’s district officers off guard. The officers have increased the number of patrols around squares, refuse-bin shelters, vacant buildings, railway stations, stairwells and holiday allotments. Temperatures fall below zero at night, and homeless people who are unable to refrain from drinking alcohol end up in places where they may freeze to death.

Legnica police officers: “We appeal to the residents of Legnica County to pay greater attention to people lying outdoors, who, as a result of the cold, may be at risk of losing their health or even their lives. Let us respond and call the emergency number to notify the officers. Let us not remain indifferent.”
