Roland Lippik, a sports bridge teacher at the Stanisław Wyspiański Youth Cultural Centre in Bolesławiec, was honoured with the Award of the Minister of Sport and Tourism as one of the five best coaches in this discipline in Poland.
As coach of Poland’s U16 national team, R. Lippik has achieved many significant successes, including a gold medal at the World Championships (Istanbul 2014) and two gold medals at the European Championships (Tromsø 2015 and Šamorín 2017).
On a daily basis, he leads classes for children, young people and seniors at MDK and several Bolesławiec schools, treating bridge primarily as an excellent way to exercise memory and develop logical thinking, as well as a great form of entertainment.
Over the past five years, students of MDK’s sports bridge studio have won 10 medals (5 gold, 4 silver and 1 bronze) at the Polish Championships in the junior 16–18 and under-16 categories.
