In the last days of March, the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters received a report concerning the destruction of panels displaying artworks created to mark the 70th anniversary of the Młodzieżowy Dom Kultury in Bolesławiec. – The losses incurred by the MDK were estimated at several thousand zlotys – reports junior aspirant Bartłomiej Sobczyszyn from the District Police Headquarters.

He adds: – The incident caused outrage among the local community, and residents could not understand the perpetrator’s motives, especially since some of the works had been created by participants in art classes—children and teenagers.

The officers undertook intensive investigative activities in the case. The spokesperson:

The speed and thoroughness that characterized the work carried out by officers of the Criminal Department of the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters led to the perpetrator being identified and then arrested.

The perpetrator turned out to be a 32-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County. This was not his only offense. Not only did he vandalize the aforementioned exhibition, but he also engaged in indecent behavior by soiling the entrance doors of the District Court in Bolesławiec.

And now he will answer for his conduct before that very court.

The police remind us:

Every such act will meet with a firm response from the officers, and perpetrators must expect legal consequences—in this case, even up to five years in prison.
