Two days full of music, talent and group singing will take place at the Old Theatre in Bolesławiec as part of the 3rd National Festival of Youth Vocal Groups “WIELOGŁOSY”. The event brings together repertoire spanning a variety of styles – from songs from the 1970s and 1980s, through radio hit lists, to songs from the best Broadway musicals.

“Year after year, we try to make the educational activities of ‘Wielogłosy’ more appealing,” says Dariusz Uściński, director of MDK in Bolesławiec and the event’s organizer. “During these two days of the festival, in addition to the competition, we organize exceptional vocal workshops. Year after year, they are led by jury members – people with experience who are recognized in the music world. We had Tomek Szczepanik from the band Pectus, and now we have Natalia Kukulska. Together with Natalia, Agnieszka Musiał will also conduct music consultations. She is a jazz vocalist from Bolesławiec whom we hosted at one of the concerts during the Ceramics Festival,” the director adds.

Event program

Tuesday, April 14, will be the day of the competition. At 1:00 p.m., the competition part of the festival will begin, featuring vocal groups from Toruń, Opole, Leszno, Świdnica, Bielawa, Legnica, Oława and Bolesławiec.

Wednesday, April 15, will bring the final decisions. At 6:00 p.m., the Grand Final Concert will take place at the Old Theatre. All festival participants will perform their best songs on stage, while the jurors – together with the Honorary Patron, the Bolesławiec County Starosta – will announce the verdict.

Jury Chair: Natalia Kukulska

This year, the jury is chaired by Natalia Kukulska. The artist, known on the Polish music scene as a composer, lyricist and music producer, has recorded fourteen solo albums during her career, most of which achieved gold, platinum or multi-platinum status.

She has also received numerous distinctions, including a Fryderyk and a Telekamera, as well as the Star of Charity. Kukulska recorded songs for films and took part in the musical project “Miss Saigon”. Among her most recent successes is the 2020 album “Czułe struny”, featuring selected works by Fryderyk Chopin arranged as symphonic pieces with lyrics.

40 years of Natalia Kukulska’s music career

Natalia Kukulska celebrated 40 years of artistic work by taking part in the cult format “MTV Unplugged”. Her latest album, “Dobrostan”, was released recently, and last year the artist represented Polish culture during Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan. The year 2026 is special for her, as she is celebrating a double anniversary: 40 years since her childhood debut (the album “Natalia”) and 30 years since the release of the album “Światło”.

Bolesławiec-born Agnieszka Musiał on the jury

In addition to Natalia Kukulska, the jury will also include Agnieszka Musiał – a jazz vocalist from Bolesławiec and a lecturer, among others, at the Academy of Music in Katowice – and Daniel Grupa, a pianist, composer and arranger who has worked with, among others, Ania Wyszkoni. On the second day of the festival, the jury members will also conduct vocal workshops with the “Wielogłosy” participants.

The organizers invite all fans of great musical events to the Old Theatre on Wednesday, April 15, at 6:00 p.m. Admission is free.
