The accident occurred on Sunday, 17 December, at the 42nd kilometre of the A4 motorway in the direction of Katowice. The driver of the Skoda, a 41-year-old resident of Puławy (Lubelskie Voivodeship), was driving too fast, skidded and hit a barrier. A Seat driven by a 39-year-old man from Świdnica crashed into the back of the Skoda.
Two Skoda passengers were injured: a 35-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man. Both were taken to hospital, among other things, with spinal injuries.
