Officers from the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters received information about a man who had repeatedly appeared near a block of flats under construction. They decided to investigate the report.
When he saw the officers, the 33-year-old began to flee. He was detained after a short pursuit. It turned out that the man had been collecting stolen items in the bushes.
The officers recovered cables and two suitcases containing drills. The property was worth more than PLN 5,000. What is more, it emerged that the 33-year-old was wanted because he had 175 days of imprisonment to serve. He now faces an additional sentence of up to 10 years behind bars.
