On one of the streets in Bolesławiec, police officers noticed a man suspected of breaking into an attic. The incident took place during the first weekend of November in the City of Ceramics. The perpetrator stole exercise equipment worth PLN 1,800.
The identification proved accurate. The 36-year-old was arrested and charged, while officers recovered the property he had stolen.
What is more, it emerged that the bicycle the 36-year-old had with him at the time of his arrest had been stolen. The vehicle had been stolen by… the 35-year-old friend of the attic burglar.
Officers established that the 36-year-old’s friend had broken into utility rooms at the beginning of November and stolen two bicycles. (Both vehicles were recovered).
Both the 36-year-old and his friend now face up to 10 years in prison. The recovered property will be returned to its owners.
