On 6 November in Bogatynia and other locations, acting on the instructions of the prosecutor supervising the investigation, officers from the Central Police Investigation Bureau searched premises and arrested eleven people suspected of operating in an organized criminal group and participating in the trafficking of methamphetamine.

It was established, among other things, that over the course of six months the perpetrators sold around 10 kilograms of so-called “piko” (methamphetamine) worth approximately PLN 1 million.

During the searches, officers secured, among other things, money amounting to approximately PLN 100,000.

The detainees were charged. On 7 November, seven of them were remanded in custody for three months (six gang members) or two months. The remaining four were subject, among other measures, to a property bond of PLN 60,000.

The suspects could face up to 15 years in prison. The investigation is ongoing and may be expanded. We will return to the matter.
