Police officers followed a lead to a car chop shop located on a property on the outskirts of Legnica. In the storage rooms, officers found several dismantled Audi cars that had been stolen in Germany several, and in some cases just a few, days earlier. (The value of the stolen cars exceeds PLN 340,000.)
Two receivers, aged 44 and 33, were caught red-handed—they were in the process of dismantling cars that did not belong to them. At the prosecutor’s request, both were remanded in custody for three months. They face up to 10 years in prison.
