The residents of Bolesławiec were invited to the concert by the Jerzy Szmajdziński Foundation and the commander of the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment, while the honorary patronage over the event was assumed by the Mayor of Bolesławiec.
The concert consisted of two parts: patriotic-historical and entertainment. The military artists presented military songs, as well as vocal and dance performances referring to the history and traditions of the Polish armed forces.
The historical and musical journey on which the artists took the concertgoers recalled events that had influenced the fate of the country over the centuries, as well as outstanding figures and heroes. The second part featured an entertainment programme.
Seated in the audience alongside city residents and soldiers of the 23rd Artillery Regiment were American soldiers stationed in Bolesławiec. The vocal and dance feast for the mind performed by the Representative Artistic Ensemble of the Polish Armed Forces evoked many positive impressions and emotions and will remain in the participants’ memories for a long time.
