An off-duty police officer who was shopping at one of the chain stores in Legnica noticed a man he knew very well. The latter had previously been recorded for shoplifting. This time, the 22-year-old took a box of sweets and began running toward the entrance.
Without hesitating for a moment, the police officer gave chase. The 22-year-old thief was detained. The Legnica police duty officer sent a patrol to the scene, and the officers took over custody of the suspect.
The 22-year-old was taken to police custody. He now faces up to five years in prison.
