During Monday’s operation, police officers checked as many as 542 drivers. None of them got behind the wheel under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Nevertheless, officers issued fines to 13 drivers and 1 passenger for failing to wear seat belts.

“The aim of the ‘Sober Morning’ operation is to eliminate from the roads drivers who have consumed alcohol or a similarly acting substance and, consequently, to reduce the number of road incidents caused by this category of road users,” say officers from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra.
