The incident took place on Sunday, October 1, at around 4:40 p.m., in one of the localities in Jeżów Sudecki municipality. Police officers noticed an Opel vehicle. Upon seeing the uniformed officers, its driver suddenly turned into a yard.
The officers decided to check what had caused the driver's behavior. As it turned out, there were two reasons: alcohol—the 25-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra County had nearly 1.5 per mille of alcohol in his system—and a driving ban.
He now faces up to five years in prison.
