The incident took place on September 29, at around 4:00 a.m. Police officers noticed a Citroën vehicle. When he saw the police car, the driver suddenly accelerated. This aroused the officers’ suspicions—they stopped a 32-year-old resident of the Podgórzyn municipality for inspection.
The officers found marijuana on the man, who was behaving strangely during the inspection. What is more, the 32-year-old admitted that he had smoked weed before getting behind the wheel. His blood was collected for testing.
The detained man now faces a penalty of up to three years in prison.
