Officers from Bolesławiec and Osiecznica met with children who came to the Police Post to see where and how officers work. (As part of the “Learning about professions” activities, the kindergarten teachers wanted to familiarise the children with the police officer’s profession.)
Wearing reflective vests, the kindergarten children marched to the post in two groups. Each child was curious to see what a police officer’s workplace looked like and what it was like to sit in a police car. When the children saw the police mascot, Commissioner Leo, they eagerly approached to greet the unusual uniformed officer.
The officers reminded the children of the basic safety rules, while the kindergarten children reciprocated by reciting poems about proper behaviour on the road.
The meeting participants had the opportunity to make a fingerprint on a commemorative card and sit behind the wheel of a police car.
As part of the “Safety concerns me throughout the school year” campaign, police officers conduct preventive meetings throughout the county.
