The robbery took place during the night of September 18–19 in an apartment in Zgorzelec. At the time, the perpetrator was unknown. He threatened the woman and then tied her hands and feet. Shortly afterward, he robbed her. His haul included mobile phones, a snowboard with equipment, bank cards and jewelry.

The perpetrator turned out to be a 36-year-old resident of Zgorzelec. The man was arrested on September 21 in an apartment in Zgorzelec. Even hiding inside a bed did not help the attacker. (In the apartment, officers found items originating from the robbery and drugs.)

A 24-year-old who helped hide the stolen property was also taken into police custody. He could face up to five years behind bars.

At the investigators’ request, the 36-year-old attacker was remanded in custody for three months. He faces up to 15 years in prison.
