The incident occurred during the night of September 12–13. The duty officer at the Chojnów Police Station received information about two vehicles on fire near the Chojnów railway station.
As it turned out, it all began when the 27-year-old learned that his ex-girlfriend was going to a party with a friend. The man decided that he would go with them. However, the women did not want him to accompany them. This enraged the 27-year-old so much that he began insulting one of them and threatening to kill her.
Ignoring the threats, the women parked the car near the railway station and took a train to the party. Meanwhile, the jealous 27-year-old set fire to his ex-girlfriend’s car. The fire spread, and the vehicle parked next to it was also destroyed.
The vandal was arrested and confessed to the crime. He now faces up to 5 years in prison.
